Glasgow man missing for week with no phone or wallet sparks urgent appeal

Friends and family of a man who has been missing from Glasgow for over a week have launched an urgent appeal to trace him

Timothy Chiwaula hasn't been seen since around midnight on Sunday, October 11.

Two friends saw the 23-year-old, who is an acting student at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, at his house on Old Shettleston Road but no one has seen him since.

Timothy is without his phone, wallet, and passport and is thought to be on foot.

Concerned loved ones have now reported him missing to Police Scotland and are urging anyone with information to get in touch.

Timothy is described as black, around 5'8 or 5'9 in height, with a skinny, athletic build, brown eyes, and black dreadlocks.

He has a small gold stud piercing on both ears and a slight gap between his front teeth.

The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland has echoed calls for anyone with information to get in touch with police.

In a social media statement, they said: "Tim Chiwaula, a BA Acting student, is being treated as a missing person. Police Scotland request that Tim, or anyone who has any information as to his possible whereabouts, makes contact.

"Contact the police by calling 101 and quoting the reference number is: 0832 (14/10/21).

"This is a worrying time for everyone who knows and loves Tim, and for our whole community. We hope he will be found safe and well soon."

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Enquiries are ongoing to trace a 23-year-old man from Glasgow who was reported missing to police on Thursday, 14 October, 2021.

“Anyone with any information should contact officers via 101 and quote incident number 0832 of 14 October.”
