Glasgow man experiencing 'personal issues' disappears from home as police launch search

Police are becoming increasingly concerned for a man experiencing 'personal issues' who has gone missing from home.

Jamie Shreenan was last seen by his friend at his home on Balbeggie Street in Sandyhills around 6pm on Saturday, January 22.

The 24-year-old, who has been dealing with 'personal issues', is normally in regular contact with his friends and family.

Officers believe he may have travelled to the Wishaw area on Saturday and are carrying out inquiries there.

Jamie is described as white, 6ft 3in tall, and of slim build with brown receding hair. He has distinctive neck tattoos including one of playing cards.

Inspector Stephen McLaughlin, at Shettleston Police Station, said: “We are becoming increasingly concerned for Jamie’s wellbeing. He has been dealing with some personal issues lately and it is out of character for him not to keep in regular contact with his family and friends.

“We believe that Jamie may have travelled to the Wishaw area on Saturday and officers have been carrying out enquiries in that area too, however we have not yet been able to trace him.

“I would urge anyone who has seen Jamie or who has any information on his whereabouts to contact officers through 101 quoting reference 2849 of 25 January.”

UPDATE: Jamie Shreenan has been traced safe and well.
