Two Glaswegians have been charged in connection with a £50,000 haul of heroin following a series of drugs busts in Aberdeen this weekend.
Drugs worth an estimated street value of £60k were recovered by officers in the north east - the biggest haul involving heroin worth £50k, which was found in a vehicle stopped as it went to board at Ferry Terminal, at Aberdeen’s Jamieson Quay.
A 41-year-old woman and a 34-year-old man, both confirmed to be from the Glasgow area, were charged and are due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court today (Monday, April 29).

A further £2,000 worth of heroin was found in Guild Street, Aberdeen, on Friday, as well as £8,000 of cannabis and cocaine in the Newmachar area on Thursday. A 49-year-old Aberdeen man was charged over the heroin and a 31-year-old man from Aberdeen was charged over the Thursday find.
Detective Sergeant Andy Wilson said: “The illegal supply of drugs spreads misery and harm in our communities and the last few days has seen a significant quantity of illegal drugs being removed from circulation.
