Glasgow man and son of Dear Green Place author appears on Who Wants to be a Millionaire

A retired English teacher from Glasgow made an appearance on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire last night, and is set to re-appear tonight to fight for the top prize.

Callum Hind, originally from Govan, won £32,000 in under 15 minutes, only using two of his four lifelines.

Callum, son of Archie Hind who wrote Dear Green Place and friend of the late Alasdair Gray, told host Jeremy Clarkson of his penchant for cycling - even making him laugh when he said he "wasn't a great cyclist" but his longest journey was from "Glasgow to Budapest".

Callum will make another appearance on the show tonight, where he will make a bid for the million pound prize.

Us over here at Glasgow Live wish him all the luck!
