Glasgow man, 28, seriously injured after being attacked in city centre

A man has been seriously injured after being assaulted in a city centre street.

The 28-year-old was rushed to hospital for treatment following the attack in Bell Street at around 5:40pm on Sunday August 29.

Officers are appealing for witnesses in a bid to identify a man connected with the incident.

He is described as being in his early 20s, around 5ft 10in to 6ft tall and of average build. He was wearing a navy blue jacket, blue jeans and white trainers.

Detective Constable Vhairi Mills of Greater Glasgow CID said: “Our enquiries so far have found that a number of other people were in the area at the time and we would urge anyone with information who hasn’t yet spoken to an officer to get in touch.

“Anyone with any information is asked to police on 101, quoting 3075 of 29 August. Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
