Glasgow M8 traffic chaos after two separate accidents cause long delays and tailbacks

Glasgow commuters have been facing traffic chaos this morning after two separate accidents occurred on the M8 motorway.

The first accident, involving two vehicles, occurred on the exit slip road on the M8 Eastbound to Bothwell Street from the Kingston Bridge around 06:20am.

It has forced the closure of the M8 offslip while accident investigation work is undertaken.

Traffic information site INRIX report that traffic is queued back for eight miles from J19 (Anderston Cross), with congestion reported back to J29 (St James/Paisley) and also back onto the M77 to J3 (Nitshill Road/Paisley).
