A horror three car crash blocked two lanes of the busy M8 in Glasgow.
Emergency services were called to the scene on the eastbound carriageway near Junction 13 at around 10.25pm.
Motorists were warned to expect delays by Traffic Scotland as officers, paramedics and fire crews raced to the scene.
It is not currently known whether anyone has been injured.
A 27-year-old has been arrested in connection with alleged road traffic offences.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “We were called around 10.25pm on Saturday 22 May, to reports of a three vehicle crash on the M8 at Junction 13, east bound.
“Officers are still at the scene and two lanes remain closed."
They later added: "A 27-year-old man has been arrested in connection with road traffic offences following a 3 car crash on the M8 at Junction 13 at around 10.25am on Saturday 22 May.
“Enquiries are continuing.”
