Glasgow locals 'haunted by snakes in their dreams' according to new study

A new study has found that Glaswegians are haunted by snakes in their dreams.

The research by sleep experts at SleepSeeker has revealed the most common types of dreams and their meanings in Glasgow - and the slippery reptiles came out top.

The findings were part of a wider study which saw them look at at Google searches in every Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) country and UK city over the last year to find out how the world dreams.

While the majority of Glasgow is dreaming the most about snakes, the second most dreamt topic is cats and the third is pregnancy according to the research.

But we ain't alone - with snakes the most researched dream topic in 47 UK cities.

Apparently, it can represent rebirth, moving on or can symbolise a challenge or situation that could be frustrating.

Lucid dreams also seem to be trending in the city, with over 4,000 annual Google searches from Glaswegians - amid a total of 122,220 annual Google searches in the UK.
