I’m in my last year of secondary school. I’m moving to London to study game design when I finish school in June, I’m just waiting to hear about student accommodation that I've applied to live in, but I've already been offered my place at the University of the Arts London
I’m into animation and I’m also into music and the course that I’m going to do will give me the best of both worlds, so I thought why not?
My course will take three years to complete and I want to go into user experience design. I did an internship last summer at a company in Edinburgh that works in user experience design and it was a joyful experience, either that or I'd like to work freelance in the games industry.
I'm looking forward to moving to London for the opportunities I'll have, although it's mad expensive to live there, much more expensive than Glasgow.
I moved to Glasgow two years ago with my family from Dublin in Ireland. We came here because my sister was being bullied and my mum just wanted a change and a new environment.
Settling into a new place is always a bit of a struggle but after a while everything becomes second nature and it becomes home.
I had no clue that Kelvingrove Park and the skate park existed until I got out and started exploring and found my way around town. I love the KG skatepark and there's a good one in Milngavie too, that I like to go to for a change. There's a skatepark opening in Possil soon that I'm really excited about. I make sure I follow all the news on skateparks around here.
Other than gaming, skateboarding is my favourite thing to do, and there will be cool skateparks for me to discover in London I’m sure.
