Glasgow is 'most superstitious place in UK', new study finds

A new study of online searches has identified Glasgow as the most superstitious place in the UK.

Rascasse, an AI-driven consumer insights platform, collected data from all over Britain around the time of the winter solstice.

The study found 12 of the 20 most superstitious regions are located in Scotland, reports Glasgow Live.

It found Glaswegians are highly superstitious compared to the national average.

But, according to the study, Banffshire in the north of the country proved to be the least superstitious place in the UK.

Interest around the keywords ‘superstition’ and ‘fortune’ were collected and mapped.

On average, 3.49 percent of UK internet users left data points indicating they were interested in aspects relating to superstition or lucky charms.
