Glasgow Infirmary staff served up free pizza as thank you during coronavirus crisis

In this time of uncertainty, it's important we show support to workers battling on the frontline tackling the coronavirus.

Businesses across Glasgow have been reaching out to support the hardworking nurses and doctors and NHS staff at Glasgow Royal Infirmary were the latest team to get a slice of goodwill.

Doctor Rachael Campbell and her colleagues in the Intensive Care Unit, Princess Royal Maternity labour ward and the General Theatre department were all treated to a well deserved serving of pizza.

Dennistoun restaurant Amore Italian delivered four pizzas, homemade pasta and two trays of tiramisu.

Doctor Campbell told Glasgow Live: "We are overwhelmed with this kindness and food was absolutely delicious.

"We would like to thank them publically and wish to show you the kindness demonstrated by the public in Glasgow.

"We are all in this together."
