Glasgow Iceland store extends elderly and vulnerable opening hour to every day

An Iceland store in the west end of Glasgow has announced it will extend its elderly and vulnerable opening hour to every day.

Elderly and vulnerable people will be given the chance to shop at the store on Byres Road next to Hillhead subway station every morning between 9am and 10am.

Originally, Glasgow Live reported how staff at the store put in place plans to only open up the supermarket to the elderly and vulnerable every Wednesday from 9am to 11am.

Steven Walker, Senior Supervisor at the store, told Glasgow Live: "In an update we have decided that everyday between 9am and 10am we will open just for the elderly and the vulnerable to let them have a chance to shop".

A fantastic idea!
