Glasgow hotel with stunning views over city landmarks named best in Scotland

The Radisson RED in Glasgow has been named the best hotel in the country for the second time in three years.

The Scottish Excellence Awards is a highly rated ceremony where the biggest and best in hospitality are honoured and the Finnieston Quay hotel picked up the top prize.

Glaswegian's know the venue for its stunning Sky Bar that overlooks the Hydro and Finnieston Crane. The venue has hosted some of Clyde 1's intimate shows in the past, starring the likes of Tom Walker and Callum Beattie.

It also has its own club night Skyline with DJs from all over the world flying in specially to play.

Curator, Graham Chamlmers, said: “This is a real honour for us – we’re thrilled to be recognised with such a big award and it’s a massive boost to the whole team at a time when the industry is finding things difficult.

“We try to innovate, lead and pioneer in all we do at Radisson RED, from our events in the RED Sky Bar to Boogie Brunches and authentic Neapolitan pizzas in the Oui Bar.

“We want every guest to feel at home in our relaxed, welcoming and stylish hotel – and it’s truly rewarding to hear people do feel that way.”

The awards aim to celebrate the innovative people, products, services and organisations in the industry and it is judged by a panel of independent experts from throughout the world of hospitality.

Graham added: “This award is for the whole team, from our owners who let us run with our dreams and crazy ideas, to every single staff member who makes it all happen day after day.”
