Glasgow hair stylist to offer free haircuts to homeless this Christmas

A big-hearted Glasgow hair stylist is to offer free haircuts to homeless people in Glasgow when he opens his new new salon next month.

Grant Carr is set to launch Nineteen in Merchant City on Tuesday, December 3 and he has said that after years of being fortunate in his career, he wants to give back to the community.

He will be offering free hair washes and haircuts, as well as breakfast and free clothes in the lead up to the event on Monday, December 16.

The new salon will be located at 62 Wilson Street, with the free haircuts on offer all day.

Grant is also calling for anyone with appropriate clothing that could be useful on the day to hand them into the salon when they open  at the beginning of next month.

A statement on Nineteen's Facebook page reads: "After a fortunate career in hairdressing it's time to give something back.

"Nineteen will be cutting hair for the homeless on Monday 16th of December. Hot food and clothes will also be available. If you could donate any appropriate clothing and hand them into the salon once we open that would be be amazing!"

A huge well done to Grant for offering such an amazing service!
