Glasgow granny shows she 'loves to boogie' as she dances to busker performing T. Rex tune

Leo the Silent Raver might, deservedly, get all the credit as Glasgow's very own street-dancing superstar thanks to his legendary routines in and around Buchanan Street that, let's face it, could raise a smile out a stone.

However, it seems he might have found himself some pretty solid competition in the form of a 76-year-old granny - who was spotted busting out some moves on Argyle Street earlier today as folk flocked to the city centre to hit the shops or the pubs once again.

The groovy pensioner was caught on camera loving life as she jived along to a busker outside the Topshop store as he performed the iconic T. Rex hit 'I Love to Boogie'.

It seemed like the dancer was channeling the spirit of the city as she turned the shopping street - which witnessed huge queues form outside Primark this morning - into her own dancefloor.

To top it off, she got treated to brilliant and rapturous applause and cheers from shoppers who spotted her shaking her hips...and it might have left us reaching for a wee tissue!

Acknowledging his dancing partner's sterling performance, the busker quipped "people make Glasgow" when he finished playing.

We don't know about you guys but watching the 'legend' do her thing has made us think we better get practising here on our moves so that we might be in as good form as she is when the dancings open up again!

Two words...gaun yersel!
