Glasgow gran on Judge Rinder still to pay £1500 bill after 'dog sh***** pal's cat'

A gran hauled before Judge Rinder after her dog tried to have sex with her friend’s cat has still not paid the £1500 she owes in damages.

Sandra Harrison appeared in the ITV law man’s dock when she was accused of failing to control her lhasa apso, Max.

The dog pounced on Gizmo the cat, resulting in its owner Nikki Ferguson claiming her beloved pet needed treatment for anxiety and depression.

The friends ended up appearing on the daytime TV show in a row over vet fees.

But Sandra, 58, from Greenock, said she has not paid a penny towards the treatment since the show was screened in February.

She said: “I thought Judge Rinder was like a real court, with real powers.

“But I haven’t had any letters or anything about the fine. I’m not able to work at the moment but I could pay back a pound a week or something.

“I don’t regret appearing on Judge Rinder. I’m still a big fan.

“He loves animals, he’s very professional but likes a laugh. He couldn’t look at me without laughing.”

Sandra enraged Nikki during the appearance by laughing when attempting to say sorry for Max’s behaviour.

Rinder heard Nikki’s partner John discovered the dog trying to have sex with Gizmo, who darted under a bed to escape.

Sandra said on the show: “I knew Max had a thing for human legs but I didn’t think in a million years that he’d try it on with a cat.”

Sandra claimed she had been enjoying singing karaoke too much on the night of the drama to take it seriously.

She added: “I just have a mad sense of humour and couldn’t stop laughing. I didn’t realise how serious it was. I think it was just nerves.

“People have stopped me in the street, wanting a selfie with Max. It’s unbelievable.”

Sandra insisted she had patched up her friendship with Nikki despite not coughing up the money.

She also ruled out neutering Max, adding: “I had it done to another dog and it didn’t work. Max is just a very amorous dog.”

Nikki refused to comment.
