Glasgow gran 'no f****** paying' TV licence says 'come and see me in the jail'

A hilarious video of a swearing Glasgow pensioner refusing to pay her TV licence has gone viral.

The BBC will introduce TV licence fees for over-75s in Scotland in June next year unless they're on pension credit.

The announcement sparked a pensioner protest outside of the offices in London yesterday, Glasgow Live reports.

After being asked by her granddaughter Siobhán, the pensioner aired her views in a potty-mouthed rant and declared: "I'm no f*****g paying that!"

Siobhan said: "I'm not being funny, how many over 75s can go on a march to protest a TV licence. Some people cannae even walk!"

Her gran replied: "Well I'll make myself walk. I'll make myself walk!"

"Definitely no f*****g paying that!"

Siobhan responds by saying: "You'll go to jail!

"I don't care. You get free meals. You get a television in the prison. You get your shower and your bath and aw that you want.

"I'm definitely not paying it anyway."

Another voice in the video warns the gran: "You'll be in there wi all they big butch birds then, you'll be in trouble!"

But she wasn't fussed: "They'll be in trouble!

"I am not paying it. I'm definitely not paying it. There's a lot of people like me who will not pay it. That's my final word on it.

"I'm going to the prison. You can come and see me in the prison."

The video has been viewed 56,000 times since being posted on Twitter.

Since the announcement about the introduction of fees for over-75s there has been a number of protests across the country, with protesters branding the BBC, "The Great British Turn Off", "Bashing Bedridden Citizens" and "Don’t Switch Us Off".
