A new mural has appeared in Glasgow to add a dash of colour to the Trongate area.
The work of graffiti street artist Bobby McNamara aka ‘Rogue One’, the mural pays tribute to Thomas Muir, the Glasgow-born political reformer and lawyer, who is known as the 'father of Scottish democracy'.
The mural is located on a wall The Old Wynd carpark opposite John Byrne's Billy Connolly mural near the NCP Glasgow King Street car park. It's close to where Muir's father had a shop and Muir himself studied.

It joins a plethora of other works by Bobby - one of Glasgow's most famous street artists - enjoyed and loved by both locals and visitors alike including murals such as 'Crazy Cat Lady' on Sauchiehall Street and 'The World's Most Economical Taxi' in Mitchell Lane.
Local organisation The Friends of Thomas Muir, which promotes the memory of Muir, hailed the 'incredible' mural, which was part of a project led by artpistol for the European Parliament, with Bobby as the artist.

A statement read: "To have one of Scotland’s finest graffiti artists bring his interpretation of Thomas Muir to the area of Glasgow where Muir's father had a shop and as a young lad he studied is incredible.
"It's a very fitting tribute that we expect will become of significant interest to those living and visiting Glasgow."
