Glasgow gift shop Gie it Laldy hoping to create new Billy Connolly 'jobey' mug for charity

One of Glasgow's most popular gift shops is searching for the artist behind a sketch of Billy Connolly in the hopes of putting it on one of their famous mugs.

Gie it Laldy is on the hunt to find the creator of a spray-painted image of the Big Yin, with the word 'jobey' underneath it, in a hilarious tribute to the beloved comedian.

The Glaswegian shop is hoping to put the image onto one of their famous mugs, with all the profits made going to charity.

Fynefest - three-day festival combining Scotland's best beer and music

Gie it Laldy is known for posting witty slogans and images on their mugs , and we think this would be the perfect addition to their collection.

The shop made it's appeal on its Instagram page. They said: "Who’s masterpiece is this? We’ll fire it ontae a mug and gie the profits tae charity."

So if you're the elusive artist behind the image, get in touch with the folks at Gie it Laldy to see your design immortalised on cupboard shelves forever!
