Glasgow ‘fixer-upper’ flat with hole in ceiling and wacky bathroom hits the market

A Glasgow ‘fixer-upper’ flat has recently hit the market in the south side of the city for just under £150k - but it's in need of some TLC.

The property is located in the Shawlands area of the South side beside Queen’s Park and close to Pollok Country Park with a guide price of £149,000.

The one double bed flat is on the second floor of the tenement building with lovely views of the green areas below and only was listed yesterday, February 24 on Rightmove.

Alongside this, the property has a lounge area complete with bay windows, one bathroom, a dining/kitchen area, gas central heating and double glazing.

Together with this there is also gardens found to the rear of the property offering storage for waste and drying facilities.

The condition of the property has led to a reaction on social media with one person saying:

"Call me old fashioned but I believe that rooms should have ceilings."

The advertisement on Rightmove which was produced by Clyde Property reads: “An excellent opportunity to refurbish and redevelop in a prime Shawlands address.”

“Commanding a prime position on Edgemont Street and delivering an outstanding outlook, this full one-bedroom period apartment.

“In need of internal refurbishment, the flat offers bright and spacious accommodation and has a specification including gas central heating, double glazed windows, and secure door entry.”
