Glasgow fire crews rush to Crookston house blaze as emergency services scrambled to Cronberry Quadrant

Fire crews have raced to the scene of a house blaze in Crookston amid reports of a huge emergency service presence.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed they are currently on the scene at Cronberry Quadrant which is within close proximity to Crookston train station.

Local residents report fireworks landing on a roof while photos circulated on social media show part of the roof ablaze.

It's understood Police Scotland and the Scottish Ambulance Service are currently at the scene and both have been contacted for comment.

It's unknown if any injuries have been sustained at this stage.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson told Glasgow Live: "We are currently in attendance at an incident Cronberry Quadrant in Glasgow.

"We can confirm it is a house fire".

UPDATE: A SFRS spokesperson further advised: “We were alerted at 8.19pm on Friday, November 5 to reports of a smoke coming from a property at Cronberry Quadrant, Glasgow.

“Operations Control mobilised four appliances to the scene and firefighters are working to extinguish a fire affecting a flatted property.

“No casualties have been reported.”
