Glasgow fire crews battle blaze at St Andrews Secondary School

Firefighters tackled a blaze at a school in the east end of Glasgow last night.

Emergency services rushed to the scene at St Andrews Secondary School at around 6.30pm following reports of the fire.

The blaze began in a skip within the premises.

Scottish Fire and Rescue Service crews extinguished the blaze while police officers were also in attendance to assist with the incident. No one is thought to have been injured.

Police Scotland confirmed there was no criminality established following the fire.

A spokesperson told Glasgow Live : "Around 6.35pm on Friday, 25 March, officers were made aware of a fire within a skip on Torphin Crescent, Glasgow.

"There was no criminality established."
