Back in March Glasgow Live revealed how popular burger spot Bread Meats Bread found itself mixing with some of the best after being named among the top 50 burgers on the planet.
The list was combined by uber-popular travel website Big 7 Travel and saw it make 31st place - one behind Berlin's famous Burgermeister.
And now another favourite Glasgow foodie spot in Paesano has cause for celebration after their Miller Street pizzeria was named among the 50 best pizzerias in Europe in a new poll by Italian guide 50 Top Pizza Europe.
Paesano Miller Street makes it into 37th place on the list (which does not include pizzerias in Italy unsurprisingly), with London pizzeria Kalo Di Ciro Salvo coming out in 1st place.
About the pizzeria, the authors of the list wrote: "This establishment serves a pizza which is proudly and authentically Neapolitan, starting with the raw ingredients, which all come from Campania and Italy.
"Located in the city centre, the atmosphere is genuinely nice and friendly within a large interior. Baked in a wood-fired oven, the traditional pizzas fly out continuously. The Margheritas and Marinaras are almost made in ruota di carro size (when the pizza exceeds the perimeter of the plate).
"They are made with a dough which has been leavened for 24 hours, just enough to make the pizza digestible. In all, there are nine choices, some side-dishes, and ice-creams. The selection of beers is quite restricted as is the choice of wines, which should be enriched at least with a Gragnano. This would provide coherence with the pizzeria's theme. Excellent service and affordable prices."
No other Scottish pizzeria makes it on to the list - making us even prouder of our beloved Paesano.
