Glasgow fashion label creates new tee inspired by extra hour for city nightclubs

An uber-hip Glasgow fashion label has decided to offer their own creative salute to the powers that be who have extended the city's licensing hours - by designing a T in their honour.

The new "1 more hour of doof" t-shirts, made by Party Chat, have been released to offer something 'timely and meaningful' to ravers in the city in the wake of Glasgow Licensing Board's decision to introduce a 12-month pilot of a 4am extra licensed hour in 2019.

A move that the label feels both supports Scottish dance floor heritage and will help nightlife institutions such as Sub Club and Berkeley Suite demonstrate Glasgow's deeply rooted dedication to the party.

How one of the world's top fashion labels 'swiped' its logo from Glasgow Airport

Speaking to Glasgow Live, those behind the label said: "As you know T's are a huge part of music culture, and so with the extra hour terminal license put in by the Licencing Board for some clubs in Glasgow we couldn't resist making an official public service announcement T.

"An extra hour might not seem like a lot to our foreign friends but for us it means; another hour of Barcardi & Tizer, a chance to play more of those slow bangers or 10 km more foot work on the dance floor. Most importantly one more hour to D-D-D-DANCE!"

Party Chat made the headlines in July last year for their limited run of Glasgow Aiport t-shirts which gave a nod to Louis Vuitton Men's Artistic Director Virgil Abloh (who pinched the old airport signage from the 60's to use as his own symbol for fashion label Off White).

The screen print finish T's are available in safety green, which the label say are 'designed for keeping you safe while crossing the road to a party' and in black 'designed for endurance and to keep everyone dancin' an extra hour'.
