Glasgow factor Taylor & Martin announces Edinburgh launch

Glasgow-based property factor Taylor & Martin has announced the launch of its Edinburgh operation as it expands on the east coast.

David Jones, who joined the company from Hacking and Patterson in October, heads the new business based in Colme Street. He has more than six years' experience of the capital property market, having previously worked for James Gibb.

Taylor & Martin - a high-end sister company to Tay Lettings - was recently appointed by Queensberry Properties to manage its Bonnington Mill riverside development in Edinburgh.

Director Michael Martin said: “With David’s appointment, we bring not only excellent local knowledge and contacts, but further capacity to make sure our clients receive the unparalleled customer-focused service which has helped us to build our company.

“We’ve been encouraged that our growth has come not just from developers who put their trust in us from the beginning of a project, but clients with a factor in place who are looking for a more cost-effective and personal alternative to their current service.”

Since Martin and Marc Taylor founded the firm in 2013 it has been appointed by developers, including CALA Homes, Ambassador Group, Barratt Homes and Mactaggart and Mickel. It has nearly 2,000 units under management and says it has achieved 50% growth year on year.

The firm was recently appointed by Drum Property Group to manage G3 Square, a development of 108 apartments and penthouses in Finnieston, Glasgow.
