Drivers are being warned of long delays on both the M8 and M74 this evening following a road crash on the M77 motorway.
The incident happened on the M77 southbound between Junction 1 B768 (Dumbreck Road) and Junction 2 B762 (Barrhead Road) at around 3:45pm this afternoon.
Police and emergency services joined Scotland TranServ's Trunk Roads Incident Support Unit (TRISS) on the scene.

Traffic information site INRIX is reporting congestion back to Junction 12 ( Riddrie / Cumbernauld Road) of the M8 and Junction 2 (Cambuslang Road) of the M74.
Travel time is believed to be around 65 minutes at present.
UPDATE: Traffic now running well on the M8, M77 and M74.
