Glasgow drivers are facing traffic chaos this morning after a road traffic collision on the M74 motorway.
Traffic alert site INRIX are reporting severe delays and queueing traffic for eight miles due to the accident, which occurred on the M74 northbound between J1A (B763 Polmadie Road) and J1 (M8 Interchange).
Congestion is reported to J4 (Maryville), and is affecting routes through Cambuslang,
Travel time is estimated at one hour and 20 minutes.

Traffic Scotland say that police and ambulance crews are on the scene.
They tweeted: Lane 3 (of 3) blocked N/B J1a-J1 due to an RTC Traffic is slow from around J4 - approx 55 min travel time. Police on scene. TRISS en route."
