Glasgow Dobbies launch festive recruitment drive for Santas and Elves

As Christmas fast approaches, Dobbies garden centre is gearing up for yet another magical season.

The Glasgow branch are searching for Santas and Elves to join their team, with a full training programme in place for successful applicants.

From welcoming children into Dobbies’ grotto, to hosting the Santa’s Breakfast experience, Santa and his Elves will make sure Christmas is extra special for everyone who visits.

Seasonal team members will begin mid-November in preparation for the opening of Santa’s Grotto, which will be back this year on the 24 November with an array of interactive elements and activities.

Sarah Murray, Partnership and Events Manager, said: “We are looking for professional and friendly Santas and Elves to create a magical experience for visitors this year in our Glasgow store. There will be a host of interactive elements for all ages to enjoy and we would love to find people who can bring these to life, especially those with a theatrical background or capabilities. Santa Paws will be in all Grottos too, so dog-lovers are encouraged to apply.”

Continuing from the success of last year, Dobbies’ Quiet Grottos experience will be available again across 50 stores on 9 December. The quiet festive environment has been created specifically for children with additional needs, with sound and visual elements designed to reduce anxiety.
