Glasgow detectives raid uncovers cannabis and cocaine drug haul worth over £40k

A drug haul worth over £40,000 has been recovered by police at a property in Kilsyth.

Police officers from Greater Glasgow CID executed a warrant at the address around 9.20am on August 18 and recovered a quantity of cannabis and cocaine with a street value of around £41,000. A cannabis cultivation was also discovered during the raid.

Two men, aged 49 and 25, have been arrested and charged for drugs offences in connection with the drugs that were seized and will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal.

Detective Inspector Alan Ferguson, of Greater Glasgow CID, said: “We have arrested two men and our enquiries into the cultivation are ongoing. I would urge anyone with any information that could assist to contact us as soon as possible.

Police Scotland is committed to disrupting the illicit supply of drugs in our communities and we will use every tool and tactic at our disposal to remove these illegal substances from our streets.
