Glasgow designer's pun-filled sign in city pub goes viral

A Glasgow designer's pun-derful pub board based on the song Sweet Caroline has gone viral online.

Rachel McCulloch, who owns Paint It Black Designs, created the hilarious board for The Maltman pub - but it's reach turned out to be global.

The board reads: "Due to Covid-19 Sweet Caroline is banned. There will be no: touching hands, reaching out, touching me, touching you."

Speaking to Glasgow Live, Rachel said she never expected the design to be so popular.

She said: "It's so funny to see how much people have loved it. The Maltman said they didn't mind what went on the board, so I decided to write something funny to make people laugh.

"Watching it take off the way it did was bizarre - it's gone everywhere - Australia, Spain, Manchester...

"I love that I have managed to make people smile. It's been a rough time for a lot of people and if I can make people laugh over something silly, then I'm very happy about that."
