Glasgow crash leaves girl, 10, and teen in hospital as emergency services rush to Pollokshaws

A 10-year-old girl and 19-year-old woman have been rushed to hospital after being struck by a car in Pollok.

The incident happened at around 3pm this afternoon on Pollokshaw Road close to the entrance to the Pollok Estate.

The extent of the girl and teenager's injuries is not know at this time.

Traffic diversions remain in place with the road taped off to all vehicles.

Police Scotland confirmed they are in attendance at the scene, with enquiries into the incident still ongoing.

A spokesperson said: "Around 3.05 pm on Wednesday, 13 April 2022, police received a report of two people having been struck by a car in Pollokshaws Road, near to the Pollok Estate entrance, Glasgow.

"A 10-year-old girl and 19-year-old woman have been taken by ambulance to hospital.

“Enquiries into the circumstances of the incident are ongoing.”
