Glasgow cops release image of man after serious assault outside busy city centre pub

Police Scotland have released the image of a man they want to speak to in connection with a serious assault in Glasgow city centre.

A 34-year-old man was standing outside O’Neill’s on Union Street when he was assaulted by an unknown male.

Officers believe that the man in the picture can help with their enquiries and have called on the public to help identify him.

The man is described as a white male in his late teens and of slim build.

He was last seen wearing white trainers, blue jogging bottoms, grey hooded top with the hood up and a baseball cap underneath, wearing a small over shoulder bag

Detective Constable Neil Bonsor, Greater Glasgow CID, said: “As part of the investigation, we are eager to identify the man in the CCTV footage and would urge him, or anyone who recognises him, to get in touch with police.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact officers via 101, quoting reference 4225 of 29 April. Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be called anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
