Glasgow cops release CCTV image of orange T-shirt man after Gallowgate attack

Police have released CCTV images of a man they wish to speak to as part of an investigation into a serious assault.

The assault occurred at around 9pm on Friday, 23 July on a footpath on the Gallowgate, near to the junction with Melbourne Street in the city.

A 34-year-old man was seriously assaulted and taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary where he was treated for serious head injuries.

Detective Constable Jamie Whitton said: “It is believed the man pictured may be able to assist with us with our enquiries.

“The man is described as being between 30-35 years old with a tanned complexion. He is around 5ft 10ins in height, strong build. He was wearing an orange T-shirt and blue shorts.

“I am appealing to the man or any members of the public who may recognise him to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident number 1641 of 29 July, 2021. Alternatively, calls can be made anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
