Three of Glasgow’s biggest clubbing forces - Pressure, Shoot Your Shot and Optimo (Espacio), are teaming up to celebrate on one of the biggest party nights of the year in The Halloween Happening.
They are taking over the SWG3 complex on October 30 to create an inclusive, fun and safe environment where tolerance and freedom of expression is of paramount importance.
All of the DJs and performers are based in and around Glasgow, and with many having had little or no opportunity to work within the arts during lockdown, the idea for the event was hatched before things started to reopen with the purpose of throwing a party to get people together after the time apart, including as many artists from different parts of the local scene as possible.
Organisers say the intention is to bring people together under one roof to share experiences and to positively celebrate differences and individuality, while at the same time realising how much our needs for communal experiences like these are the same.
Bonzai Bonner, founder of Shoot Your Shot, said: "Shoot Your Shot are proud to be on a Halloween line-up celebrating the creative and diverse talent we have here on our Glasgow doorstep."
Jonnie Wilkes, of Optimo, said: "We’ll be at SWG3 on Halloween weekend with many friends under one roof. Out come the freaks."
Slam, founders of Pressure, said: "We are proud to be part of this great lineup for Halloween showing off a lot of the diversity and talent within Glasgow’s club scene. It’s important that a big crowd can get together in Glasgow with respect and acceptance of one another, in a space where anything goes as long as you have a positive attitude."
