Glasgow City Chambers has been evacuated due to a 'suspicious package' threat.
It is understood a parcel was left in the east wing of the building, causing the evacuation of staff.
Police are currently on the scene and the main section of the building has been locked down.
There is a police cordon around the building.
A spokesperson for Greater Glasgow Police Division said: "Police received a report of a suspicious package at the City Chambers, George Square, Glasgow around 3.20pm today.
"Officers are in attendance and a cordon has been put in place. Part of the building has been evacuated as a precaution.
"Enquiries into the incident are ongoing."
Police Scotland have been contacted for further comment.
