Glasgow city centre street shut down as police respond to road crash

A major street in Glasgow city centre has been shut down as police respond to a road crash.

West George Street has been closed from West Campbell Street eastbound, with emergency services on the scene.

Glasgow City Council's Traffic Control and Management team (TRAFFCOM) confirmed: "Due to a road traffic collision, West George Street will be closed eastbound from West Campbell Street until further notice.

"Emergency Services are in attendance and road users should follow Police direction.

"Further bulletins will be issued as more information becomes available."

Glasgow Live have contacted Police Scotland for comment.

The road has now fully reopened.
