Glasgow City Centre's Waterloo Lane shut off by police after woman found injured

Police locked down a city centre lane after a woman was found injured.

Cops swooped on the scene of Waterloo Lane, in the heart of Glasgow, after receiving the call shortly after midnight.

The woman was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment, as officers assess how she became injured.

A Police Scotland spokesperson told Glasgow Live: "Around 12.05am, a woman was found injured at Waterloo Lane, Glasgow.  Officers attended and enquiries are ongoing at the scene to establish the exact circumstances surrounding this incident and how she came about her injuries.

"The woman was taken by ambulance to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment."
