As your bins start to get filled with boxes, food packaging and shredded wrapping paper over Christmas, it's important to know when Glasgow City Council's bin men will be appearing over the festive period.
Scots use upwards of 19,000 miles of wrapping paper at Christmas with nearly 50,000 tonnes of food and drink expected to be binned during December, according to Zero Waste Scotland - and that's a lot of waste to be stuck with when you've overlooked your Christmas and New Year bin collection dates.
The festive period means your regular bin collection schedule will be disrupted, so it's good to the revised dates pencilled in before the big day - especially as both Christmas Day and New Year's Day land on Saturdays in 2021.
In Glasgow, there will be no bin collections on Saturday December 25 and Saturday January 1 - and new bin collection dates may change if there is severe weather in the coming weeks.

Open 7 days a week, 8am to 6pm (last entry at 5.45pm) - all centres will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
