A Glasgow chippy has introduced a very Scottish bit of scran.
Hugely popular fish and chip restaurant and takeaway Catch, which has locations in Giffnock, Netherlee and the West, is now serving up a deep fried square sausage... in a roll - surely the ultimate gallus Glasgow snack.
And while we can't vouch for the health benefits of this particular culinary dish, we feel confident in guaranteeing it will taste incredible.
Sharing a snap of the new menu item on Facebook yesterday, the Catch team commented: "Deep fried square sausage!
"We got tonnes of feedback on our new lunch dish!
"It seemed the vast majority of you appreciated this one! So who has been to CATCH to try it?
"We're open for lunch in Giffnock and the West End from 12."
And responses on social media include: 'This looks like utter heaven to me', while one Glaswegian questioned: 'Why not deep fry everything? Bun en aw?'.
