A Glasgow children's charity has made an appeal for help after its van broke down.
Birth, Baby and Beyond , which delivers baby and child starter packs to underprivileged families in Glasgow, is asking for donations in order to buy another van to deliver the packages across the city.
The charity, which needs £6,000 to purchase the van, has created a fundraiser in a bid to raise enough money to buy a new vehicle.
A statement on their JustGiving page reads: "Birth, Baby and Beyond is a children's charity based in Glasgow that provides families in need with free Starter Packs of essential baby and child items. The charity's van broke down and is beyond repair. That charity desperately needs a van to allow them to continue helping families in need.
"Without the use of a van the charity can not deliver Starter Packs to families facing financial hardship, isolation and many other difficulties. The use of a van is essential to allow the charity to ensure that families in need have access to clean and safe baby items for their children. The charity receives referrals every week and currently have Starter Packs waiting to be delivered to families.
"Over the last 7 years Birth, Baby & Beyond have helped over 35,000 families in need with essential baby and child items. The charity doesn't not currently have a sponsor and desperately needs help to raise funds for a van to allow them to continue the life changing work that they do."
