A Glasgow charity has said they are "overwhelmed" by the sheer volume of donations kind-hearted Glaswegians have made to help clothe displaced Park Inn hotel residents following Friday's attack.
The Unity Centre, based in the Ibrox area, gives practical support and solidarity to all asylum seekers and other migrants in Scotland.
And staff arrived at the centre this morning to find a huge amount of donations - after the No Evictions Campaign called out for people to donate men's and women's clothes, underwear, jackets, hand sanitiser, phones and phone chargers for those in need.
Annie from The Unity Centre told Glasgow Live : "We are overwhelmed by the support from the Glasgow community and we are really grateful.
"The clothing will be distributed to people who were displaced from the Park Inn hotel and more widely to other hotels in the city because there is more than enough."
Indeed so many bags full of items of clothing have been donated that they have now asked Glaswegians to stop bringing clothes to the shop as it is now full and they are struggling with the volume due to the limited space they have inside.
They are still accepting donations of phone chargers, phones and toiletries.
Well done Glasgow, you've made us proud!
