Glasgow Central train brawl involving 15 people sparks appeal for witnesses

Detectives from British Transport Police (BTP) have launched a probe after a brawl broke out on a busy train bound for Glasgow Central Station at the weekend.

The large fight took place between around 15 people on the 11pm Ayr to Glasgow Central service on Saturday night (September 18).

BTP have launched an appeal for witnesses to the incident, with officers currently conducting enquiries to establish the full circumstances of what happened.

The train was very busy at the time as it headed for Glasgow and BTP believe that there are a number of witnesses who haven’t yet spoken to police, who may have useful information.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 2100069865.
