Glasgow Central Tours to restart again later this month after hiatus

The hugely popular Glasgow Central Tours are to restart again later this month.

Nearly 40,000 people have taken a tour of the iconic Glasgow landmark since it launched six years ago, with BBC Scotland show Inside Central Station serving to increase their popularity.

Following a brief hiatus, Glasgow Central have confirmed via Twitter that bookings for the tour are once again available from Sunday, February 13.

They tweeted: "We're delighted to announce that Glasgow Central Tours are back! Bookings available from 13th Feb."

Visitors on the tour get an exclusive, behind the scenes look at Glasgow Central as they walk in subterranean passageways beneath Glasgow’s streets and visit railway vaults that drove Glasgow’s industrial expansion, with tour guides Paul Lyons and Jackie Ogilvie on hand to regale visitors with tales of the famous and infamous who have travelled the tracks and stood on the platforms.

Back in 2019, Glasgow Live described it is a 'must for Glaswegians and visitors alike' after we were taken on a whistle-stop 30 minute wander round the station by Paul Lyons - the tour normally lasts an hour.

The tours costs £13 per person.
