Glasgow Central street disturbance puts two in hospital as police cordon off area

Two men were rushed to hospital after a disturbance outside Glasgow Central Station.

Police were called to Gordon Street in the city centre around 11.40pm on Sunday.

It's believed a group of people were involved in the disturbance outside the Blue Lagoon chippy.

Part of the street was cordoned off by officers were investigations were carried out.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of a disturbance involving a group of people on Gordon Street in Glasgow around 11.40pm on Sunday, 29 August.

“Two men were taken to hospital for treatment following the incident and enquiries are ongoing.

“Anyone with information can call 101, quoting 4659 of 29 August.”
