Glasgow Central Station 'stabbing': 15-year-old boy charged and knife recovered from scene

A 15-year-old boy has been been charged after an alleged stabbing at Glasgow Central Station last night.

Police were called to the scene at around 7.30pm last night and a person was rushed to hospital with a stab wound. His injuries are non-life threatening.

British Transport Police have this morning advised a teenager has been charged with assault and having a bladed article in a public place, while confirming a knife was recovered from the scene.

Investigations into the incident continue.

A BTP spokesperson advised this morning: "Officers received a report of an assault at Glasgow Central station shortly after 7.30pm last night.

"A 15-year-old boy was arrested at the scene and has been charged with assault and having a bladed article in a public place.

"The victim was taken to hospital where he received treatment for a non-life threatening stab wound to his shoulder.

"A knife was recovered from the scene and enquiries into the incident are currently ongoing."
