Glasgow cannabis farm busted as 300 plants worth £118k seized by police

Police in Glasgow have busted a cannabis farm with more than £100,000.

Officers searching a flat in Hector Road in Shawlands made the discovery just after 4pm on Friday evening.

While inside, more than 300 cannabis plants with an estimated street value of £118,000 were discovered.

Enquiries into the discovery are ongoing.

Detective Inspector Cheryl Kelly, Greater Glasgow CID said: "We remain committed to tackling drugs and dealing with drug dealing within local communities.

"I would encourage people to report anything they think is suspicious to police via 101 or alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where you can give information anonymously."
