A Glasgow cafe has taken the salt and chilli craze that one step further by offering food-lovers a breakfast option.
CafeDm in Castlemilk has started selling its salt and chilli breakfast bun since Monday, August 12.
The cafe’s morning treat contains all the Scottish breakfast classics such as bacon, square sausage and a fried egg - all with a healthy seasoning of the two flavours.
This new piece of culinary innovation follows in the footsteps of the pizza crunch and chicken wrap, both complete with a dusting of the much-loved seasoning.
It has so far went down well with punters over social media.
Colin Hek said: “We will be going to try this when I’m back."
Ross O’Raw added: “I’ve seen it all now.”
Fern Currie said: ‘Wow, would you look at that.”
A video posted by CafeDm over Facebook shows the yolk of the fried egg drizzle down the rest of the breakfast ingredients.
It is not the first time that the cafe has experimented with salt and chilli.
CafeDm’s version of the chicken wrap seasoned in the two flavours also went down well, with more than 2,500 people liking it on Facebook.
