Glasgow buskers are being offered free guitar restringing and a cup of tea this week, to celebrate national Busker Week.
GuitarGuitar, at 36 Trongate, are inviting in the dozens of buskers from city centre streets and further afield, this Saturday and Sunday, July 20 and 21.
And, as long as you play a song, you'll be given a free cuppa, while your instrument will be restrung.
Busker Week, running Monday 15 until Sunday 21 July, is part of the music retailer’s 15 anniversary celebrations, with 15 weeks of in-store pop-ups, promotions and giveaways across their six UK stores.
All six guitarguitar stores across the UK are offering to restring their instruments, throwing in a cuppa for good measure to soothe their worn-out vocal chords and tired fingers after a long week of performing.
Bobby Simpson, store manager of guitarguitar Glasgow, said: “Buskers are our everyday rock stars. They're the soundtrack of the high street, playing for hours every day, honing their craft no matter the weather.
"From the solo acoustic troubadour to the five-piece band, guitarguitar have supported those with the spirit and determination to take their tunes into the street every day.
"As guitarguitar turns 15, we’re delighted to celebrate them as part of Busker Week, and welcome them in to the store here in Glasgow.”
