Glasgow bride shares stunning Cessnock subway snaps from wedding day

A Glasgow couple have shared pictures from their wedding day, taken in and around Cessnock subway station.

Scott Logan, 30, married Julie Huggan, 29 at the City Chambers on August 4th after taking the unique wedding day snaps on the journey.

Scott, who works as a library assistant and musician, shares a love of live music with his now wife Julie - who is a civil servant. After they met in Glasgow, the two moved in together in Cessnock where they live today.

Speaking about the day, Julie said: “We wanted to document the journey to the wedding and show off parts of Glasgow on the way.

“It’s where we met and fell in love so we feel a strong attachment to the city. I thought the juxtaposition of me all dressed up on the subway would look class along with the amazing symmetry of the stations.

“Craig is an amazing street photographer so it seemed the perfect opportunity to make the most of his talent. The wonderful Glasgow queer fashion designer Gillie Jean King designed by dress and brought to life my Florence and the Machine dreams.

“The photos encapsulate my pure joy and excitement for the day and my love for Glasgow.”

The photographer, and friend of the couple, Craig Purdon added: “The day was really lovely, just a low key, chill time with family and close friends.

“After they were married at City Chambers we walked down to the 13th Note for some food and drinks with family and friends. A perfectly chill day for a perfectly chill couple.”
