Glasgow braced for heavy rain and strong winds as Met Office issue weather warning

Glasgow is braced for heavy rain and strong winds tomorrow (Tuesday), with the Met Office having issued a severe weather warning.

The west coast of Scotland can expect gusts of up to 50mph while Glasgow is set to be inundated with rain throughout the day.

The yellow weather warning is in place from 5am in the morning until 5pm in the afternoon.

The Met Office says: "Heavy rain and gusty winds may lead to travel disruption.

What to expect

  • Bus and train services probably affected with journey times taking longer
  • Spray and flooding on roads probably making journey times longer
